Oglegoggle

Oglegoggle: noun. A pair of glasses that allows a man or woman to ogle different people of their interest without being noticed. Oglegoggles were first invented by one of the very few Czech inventors, Otto Wichterle, who decided that besides contact lenses and standard glasses, human eyes had very little to complement them. "Eyes," as he said on a conference when presenting the world´s first oglegoggle, "have long been neglected by the fashion world. Feet have shoes, sandals, boots, socks; hands have mittens, gloves and those weird extended sleeve things; heads have caps, hats and ... well hair - but eyes? How is it possible that eyes have escaped our notice for so long? We have glasses, for sure, and I myself have invented contact lenses. But these serve a solely practical purpose, unlike top-hats and the pom-poms one wears on slippers. Therefore, I have created the oglegoggle. Want to ogle a person, but can´t afford to offend them with your gaze? Then the oglegoggle is just for you! Apart from its primary purpose, oglegoggles also serve as a wonderful fashion accessory and they come in two hundred different designs and colours." After such a speech, the whole crowd was naturally gobsmacked and oglegoggles became the new big thing right after Cadillacs and Frank Sinatra. However, the product soon became universally recognised and when people saw someone using it, they became very suspicious. For this reason, the production of oglegoggles plummeted, but they have slowly started re-entering the market again, especially after a certain scandal of a Scandinavian royal.
