apenitence. 
Pentheance, or 
apenitence, is very different from 
unpenitence, which consists of revoking one's former penitence and going back to 
pentheance. The word 
pentheance derives from the character of Pentheus, who refused to acknowledge Dionysus as a god and was ripped apart by his own mother under Bacchic rage.
