Buttox: noun. A
buttox is a bovine regularly engaging in headbutting other
buttoxen. The highest proportion of
buttoxen to the rest of the ox population can be found among muskoxen, as there is a high level of competition between males in muskox communities for mates. In contrast,
buttoxen make up a far smaller percentage of the regular ox population, as bulls are frequently kept in solitude and have little opportunity to display their physical prowess through headbutting.
