Woodwinded

Woodwinded: noun 1. Describing of someone who is inclined to enjoy the sound and playing of woodwind instruments. The word cannot be conjugated and is only applicable in this form. One must therefore refrain from attempting to change the word, as the spirits of dead reed pipe players will then haunt him for precisely 23 days.
2. Describing of someone who is tired and worn-out due to excessive playing of a woodwind instrument.
The term was first used by Richard Wagner, when practicing the premiere performance of his opus "Die Walküre" to describe a large section of the orchestra. Wagner was making a comic statement as he used both meanings of the word to describe the performers, thereby at the same time insulting them.
