Genious

Genious: adjective. The opposite of ingenious. Descriptive of something or someone very stupid or silly. One may be called genious if one has done something particularly incomprehensible. The spelling and pronunciation of the word have often led to confusion with the word "genius", which is very similar to "ingenious", but is a noun. The nature of the word has often led to its being used ironically, but incorrectly, which is quite ironic. The word was first used by Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde to describe his fellow Irishman George Bernard Shaw, who being unable to decipher what Wilde meant, was never able to punish him. However he was quite pleased when Wilde died at the age of 46, while Shaw lived to the age of 94.
